Mankovtsy village on the river. Moat is located 15 km east of Bara. According to legend, the village was called Tyagin earlier , but was renamed in honor of a certain landowner Manka , which became famous for charity. First mentioned in 1539 , when the Polish Queen Bona Sforza annexed Mankovtsy Podolsk their possessions. Later belonged Vygovsky , Lubomirski Poninskim etc. I. Dembsky landowner in 1763 founded the Church of the Holy Trinity, which in its present form was built in 1789 , the last owners of the village were landlord Lvov . Well preserved wooden Church of the Intercession ( 1882) .
