Museum Chernivetsky oblasny Museum narodnoy arhitekturi i pobutu
Forproekt (preliminary draft) was developed Chernivtsi Branch of the Institute "Diprotsyvilprombud" (architect H.Plehutsa). Detailed design were the architects of the museum.
The current exhibition consists of two architectural and ethnographic zones - "Hotynschyna" and "West Podnistrovia" (9.3790 hectares). Planned construction of two more - "Huzulschyna", "Carpathian" (6.4559 hectares) and ancient archaeological sector Bukovina.
The museum features more than 35 architectural artifacts - typical examples of folk architecture in the second half of the 18th - early 20th century. Among them - residential and commercial buildings (houses, barns, koshnytsi, Karnika, coop, stable, barn, etc.), industrial and public buildings (mills, forge, tavern, village councils, church, bell tower). Architectural monuments are complemented by traditional interiors. The museum also played napivzemlyanku 8 century. (Old house) - the first archaeological object.
Stock museum collections include more than 8 thousand items: agricultural machinery, tools, household items, folk costumes, fabrics, wood, metal and clay, musical instruments, objects of worship, books, etc.. Of these, about 2 thousand are presented in the interiors of buildings.
Museum supports the development of crafts and trades in Bukovina, actively promotes the recovery and preservation of traditional customs and ceremonies.
